At the Ross house, Sam’s whinging about the way Sally and Tim are slobbering over each other on the couch and Pop remarks he’d be the same, if he had a girlfriend. Tim goes off to have a shower, just as Joey arrives, looking for Tiegan. Pippa sends Sam upstairs for her and he starts whinging again. While Joey waits, the conversation turns to what Sally should do before Tim has to return to the boat. When she says they will probably go to Diner, both Pop and Joey think she should do something spontaneous – and it sets her thinking. Sam returns with a message for Joey from Tiegan. He tells her, she doesn’t want to hang around with a bloke who just wants a handbag. The message confuses Sam but Joey understands and leaves. Sally goes upstairs, as Tiegan comes out of the bedroom and they discuss her rather cryptic message to Joey. She tells Sally it was to teach Joey a lesson about saying one thing and meaning another. Over breakfast, Tim suggests to Sally about heading off to Stewart’s Point, which Sam thinks is boring.

Joey goes to the Diner and tells Alf and Lachie, that Tiegan thinks he’s a chauvinist pig and he’s hurt. As Alf gives his opinion on how to handle women, a subdued Chloe comes in and tells them about receiving another anonymous phone call. Joey agrees to go home with her and stay so, that she can get on with her studies but she receives another call, which Joey reports to the police. They tell him to take the phone off the hook, while they investigate and if it warrants it, they’ll put a tap on the line. When he starts on about Tiegan, she convinces him she’ll be okay and that he should go and sort it out. He goes to the Surf Club and sticks a poster on the notice board, hoping it will get Tiegan back on side. Back at the beach house, Chloe can’t concentrate and she gather up all her books and flees to the Diner and Ailsa lets her do her studies there. Lachie arrives and goes to talk to Chloe, who is putting on a brave face but she is clearly stressed. When Mike comes in to order a meal, he goes over to her and starts to talk to her but she completely loses it and accuses him of being the one who’s causing her grief. In tears, Ailsa takes her into the kitchen and tells her Mike is a nice guy. When Chloe tells her about the second call, she wants to call Irene but Chloe won’t let her, so Ailsa insists she stays there until they can get things sorted out.

After their trip out, Sally makes a detour, as she’s driving Tim to the railway station and takes to him to her special place, where the water runs down a rock face and he’s falls in love with it because it’s so peaceful. On the way to the station, the car runs out of petrol and Tim’s furious because he’ll never get back in time.

Tiegan is impressed with Joey’s poster, even though May, another student, thinks he’s weird. so when he goes to see her at home, she’s forgiven him and they go off to the Diner. Pop comes down with his things, as he prepares to go home and he and Pippa are surprised to see Tim come in with Sally. Tim phones his Dad, who’s not pleased with him but Pippa tells him he can get the night bus which will get him home in time to join the boat. The taxi arrives but before he leaves with Pop, he makes up with Sally and tells her not to change, because he loves her the way she is.

Back at the Diner, Ailsa gives Chloe a meal and suggests she stay with her and Alf for the night, rather than be on her own, which Chloe accepts. Joey and Tiegan arrive after Chloe has gone home to get an overnight bag and Alf tells her them making up after the difference of opinion they had earlier on.

It ends with Chloe going home and when she turns on the lights, the living room is covered with animal traps. She just screams and screams….
