Brodie Hanson - Susie Rugg

Brodie Hanson came to the Bay after being abused by her jealous mother, she came to stay at the drop-in-centre where she met Shelley, Shelley then took her under her wing and let her stay at her house (where she remains). Brodie has had many storylines since arriving: on arrival she caused a stir in Mitch (Cameron Welsh) and Hayley’s relationship, splitting them up and nicking Hayley’s boyfriend. Her brother JT then arrived and attacked Hayley - he tried to trap Brodie into stealing money for him, she was found out and JT was then charged for his attack on Hayley. Soon after this Brodie began to have trouble at school not having much of an education thanks to her mother, she the had the threat of being dropped a year looming over her; it also didn’t help that Alex Poulos (Danny Raco) ran her over whilst she was on her bike, she had brain damage for a few episodes but it soon passed, it was then she realised her feelings for Alex, they got together, but it didn’t last. Brodie’s biggest storyline to date was a car crash involving her new boyfriend Miles (Alex’s best friend). Alex was driving and had been overcome by jealousy on the night of the year 11 formal, Miles died; Brodie was devastated and didn’t forgive Alex for months - they are now starting to rebuild their friendship and move on with their lives.

Love life

Brodie's first love upon arriving was the lovely Mitch McCol., Mitch then had to move to New Zealand so they broke up, shortly after. She found true love with Alex, they broke up as he began to feel the pressure of their relationship. Brodie then fell in love with Alex’s best friend, Miles; but he tragically died in a car accident. Brodie is still coming to terms with the death but has found a new interest in Ethan, a nerdy boy from school, but could Brodie and Alex soon rekindle there old romance?
