Katrina Hobbs

Katrina Hobbs feels she was destined to be a telly star even though she did not want to be. Her mum is a television director and all Katrina's older brothers and sisters are in the entertainment industry. Jessica is a director and Rebecca and Christopher are actors. She says that she was always interested in acting but fought against it because all the rest of the family were so involved. Eventually, though, it got the better of her.

Her mum and dad, whom she described as a suit (the person who keeps her grounded), are divorced. After high school, Katrina did photography, a passion she likes to pursue when she gets home to her native New Zealand. She left Wellington around 1996, and success has come fast.

After putting in the hours on the set, she loves nothing better than settling down with a raft of glossy magazines. If she has a couple of days off, she loves to ski, head to the pool to play a bit of water polo, and 'generally try to keep fit'.

On her alter ego, Kelly, Katrina says,
She's a very rational and focused woman. I on the other hand have been known to be slightly irrational - just occasionally.
