Ryan Lee
Ryan Lee, an attractive 25 year old man, came from Perth. He knew
Lucinda through her brother, David, at university, where they both
played in the same rugby team. When Ryan saw Lou, he was immediately
attracted to her. The attraction was mutual and they had a relationship
for three years. However, the relationship finished when Ryan finished
his college course and got his degree. They both decided to separate;
he would travel around Europe while Lou travelled around Australia.
Ryan came from a comfortable background. He studied
economics and business management. He hoped to take over his father's
financial advisory business as his father was due to retire in
five years.
With his laid-back attitude, he has always enjoyed
his carefree travels and always had a way with the ladies, ensuring
lack of loneliness. However, he had not met any lady like Lucinda.
He had decided to settle down and get married; he also wished
to have a family so that he could have sons to carry on the family
business.
Ryan arrived in Summer Bay to win Lou. However,
he had found a competitor who loved Lou: Nick Parrish, a local
policeman. Both Ryan and Nick hated each other as they were fighting
for Lou's affections.
When Lou left the Bay in 1991, Nick was heartbroken.
However, he was persuaded by others to encourage her to come back.
Nick had a plan: he prepared some signs and put them up in the
trees, hoping that Lou would see them on the way. After the last
sign, Nick was there and Lou changed her mind; Ryan had lost his
women to Nick.
Ryan returned to the Bay again the same year.
Nick was not happy to hear of his return, when Lou, Fisher and
Nick himself were moving into Fisher's new house.
Nick's brother, Shane, arrived in the Bay. Though
he brought trouble, he was good at keeping Ryan away from Lou.
Ryan had to face many problems, one of which included his car
being in the sea.
Ryan later left the Bay, having failed to win Lou's affections.
