Some news for 2001...*

Next year Justin Melvey will be leaving Summer Bay and he will be leaving the show with his mother, which is why she has recently come back to the bay.
Sadly, Home and Away says goodbye to Ailsa Stewart, and we will not see stars of Home and Away like Kimberly Cooper leaving Home and Away for at least another 3 years as a whole number of people that have just signed up for another 3 year contract, and for those of you that thought Irene was going to leave soon, she will not, as her contract isn't up for renewal until late 2001.

Season finale (for Oz viewers) and spoilers*

The season finale for Australian viewers will be on Friday 24th.
Meanwhile, Colleen conspires to get Leah and Ted together. Sam cannot forgive Fisher for ruining his chances with Sandy. We also have news that Gypsy has a disastrous 18th Birthday! So look out for that one! Also, we do not know why, however, Hayley is up to her old tricks and decides to teach Noah a lesson!
Sam is shocked to find Sandy in desperate need of help. Shauna becomes drawn into helping Kirsty (we do not know what about). Has Colleen's interfering succeeded in splitting up Leah and Vinnie for good? Sam will not be dissuaded from helping Sandy and Baby Bella. Leah receives her HIV results and has Noah pushed Hayley to the limit?

Shauna's diagnosis threatens to change her life and Gypsy can't forgive Harry. Shauna is depressed about living under the shadow of death.
Dani worries that she has to compete with Gypsy and Vinnie is threatened by Leah's ex-fiancé. Dani leads Will to think she's more experienced than she really is.
Vinnie's jealousy about Ted makes him look like a fool and Jade decides they need an addition to their family.
Dani lies and puts herself in a difficult position with Will.

Rumours*

There's a rumour that Donald and Judith get married. The rumour is that they realise they're the ones for each other. We cannot guarantee that it may be true, however it is entirely possible, as we have seen a picture of Donald and Judith kissing and in their wedding clothes!

Goodbye Judith

Regular Australian viewers already know that much loved Summer Bay High's Headmistress, Judith Ackroyd has scored her job in Switzerland and will be leaving the show soon! Anna Hruby has said that it was very sad leaving the show but she is getting older and 1 year has been quiet a while so she thought it was the right time to leave. Melissa

Justin Melvey is leaving and in the movie he will appear him shows him shaved, topless and wearing a beanie. He also has long hair. All I know is that Harry won't get killed off. Melissa

A Baby in the Bay!*

Home and Away's producers have revealed that next year, an unlikely couple will be having a baby. The most likely to be expecting is Leah and Vinnie or maybe Noah and Hayley. Whoever it is, it's sure to put their relationship to the test!
Saul was thought to be dead after a fire in the commune but her later came back, and died again. But guess what, he's back again! Well not him personally but one of his relatives and they are here in pursuit of some young kids to join their commune!

One Wedding and a Funeral*

When Home and Away returns in 2001, there will be a funeral and a wedding. The wedding will probably be the one of Sally and Luke and the funeral is most probably the one of long time resident Ailsa!

2000 Season Finale*

For mainland Australian viewers, the 2000 season finale is only around 4 weeks away and it has been rumoured that the main storylines to end the show for the year will be of course, Ailsa's departure and also, Leah getting her HIV test results back!

2001 Story Lines*

Some rumoured dramatic, action-packed story lines set to keep viewers glued to their TV's over the next year have been revealed.
Some stories include an armed robbery, a bomb and a murder mystery in which some of our favourite Summer Bay residents are the main suspects!

In Sickness and in Health

Leah takes a turn for the worst in Home and Away but is this to do with the blood-filled syringe she stepped on earlier on in the year? After taking an agonising HIV test, Leah had to wait 3 months for the test results, which will be coming soon and now all her friends fear the worst. She comes down with a cold and flu and everyone suspects it's to do with HIV and is very concerned for the poor girl. Leading the campaign is busy body and town gossip Colleen Smart and Leah's boyfriend Vinnie Patterson. When Leah collapses and her fever nearly hitting 100 degrees, Vinnie quickly rushes Leah to the hospital in hope she'll be all right. When Vinnie saw her, he and Colleen quickly hit the panic button, they both think it's a bad sign. Knowing Leah's results, whether they're good or bad, it will be a relief to everyone, but if Leah's results turn out positive, Will town gossip Colleen Smart ruin her job at the beachside diner? Home and Away specials on Channel 5

The following article has just been published on the Waveguide TV News site. Looks like we've got some specials coming our way!
Channel 5 is to broadcast a new weekly programme from the set of Home & Away in the run up to its debut on the channel next summer. Home & Away - Back To The Bay will be broadcast each Friday from November 24. The fifteen-minute programmes will feature behind-the-scenes news and interviews with the cast.

Is Justin Melvey leaving?

Actually, I think that Justin is still filming. He signed an 18 month contract with H&A & all he said a couple of months ago, is when the time comes to renew his contract, he wouldn't, so he'll still be filming until next year.
There was an article about him in TV Week, but it didn't say whether he was still filming or not. It said, "The recent news that Justin Melvey had quit the Seven Network took many by surprise - but his departure is part of a long-term plan to build his acting resume and move onto the international stage as film star." It said something about him going to LA in December to "see his agent and check out the scene."

Gypsy is stunned to learn that Harry has arrived back in the Bay with Shauna. Sam gets an unexpected visit from the police. Judith feels her interview was less than successful.
Sam receives some good news about the drug charge and Judith and fisher decide to lobby the education department in support of Noah
Vinnie realises how sick Leah is and rushes her to hospital and the Stewarts spend their first night in their new home.
Judith receives some exciting news. (I think she gets accepted to the Switzerland teaching job) I think Harry starts to have doubts about how he really feels about Gypsy. He has been thinking about Shauna a lot and is worries that his feelings for her may be more than what he has for Gypsy.
Shauna collapses and she assures Sally that she has just fainted. Sally calls Alf and Ailsa to tell them Shauna collapsed. She is taken to the hospital to be checked out. The doctors direct an arrhythmia in her heartbeat and perform an ECG. She is asked to stay over night so they can do more tests. When she finds out what is wrong with her she worries that it will change her life

People have doubts to whether Judith will leave for Switzerland for the teaching job! What do you think?
Leah will find out whether she has HIV or not in the Season finale. Ailsa will die the day H&A comes back after the Summer Holidays, probably to leave viewers over the break to decide if she will die or not.

Some spoilers...

Sandy arrives back in the Bay with some shocking news. Nick and Duncan embark on another scam with Noah's help and Sally worries that Fisher could jeopardise her teaching career
Sandy gives birth to a bay girl and disappears. Gypsy gets paranoid that Harry is cheating on her and Leah begins to regret taking the blame for the fire.
Sam's behaviour becomes increasingly unstable. Sandy has trouble dealing that she has had a child and the Stewarts receive more bad news about the future of the diner
Sam's not sinning any friends in summer bay. Leah and the Stewarts reconcile and Hayley tells Noah about her relationship with Sam
Nick and Duncan gets caught on their essay scam
Harry leaves with his mum when she returns to the bay that is next year and there is a rumour that Ailsa will kill herself because of the stress of losing her house and the diner
Fisher worries about his odd behaviour and assumes his travelling companions are leading him astray.
Sam crashes into the back of Harry's car and is hospitalised with fractured ribs and a dislocated shoulder. As if that drama weren't enough the police question Sam and inform him that they found marijuana in his van and he is being charged with drug possession

Could Judith leave forever? She may get the teaching position she applied for overseas and may then leave the show?
Recently many people from H&A renewed their contracts so they will definitely not be leaving for another 3 years. One of these people includes Kimberly Cooper.
The reason Harry will leave the show is that Justin Melvey wants to pursue to Hollywood.

I have now been told, from this time a reliable source, that after she loses her home and her diner, she realises life isn't worth living, and ends it. The other rumour was that she hadn't insured the diner, and when she realises she is broke, she goes to a loan shark. When her debts pile up, she is attacked, and tumbles off a cliff. If You Love Me....Marry ME!!!!!

(This article is meant for Ireland residents as this episode has already been screened in Australia)
Youngsters Edward Dunglass and Peta Janossi (played by Stephen James King and Aleetza Wood) are set to tie the knot. However, both know there will be tragedy heading their way. Edward has Huntington's disease - a disease that affects the brain. Edward doesn't have much time left so he proposes to Peta to tell her he loves her and he wants to spend whatever time he has left with her. Even though they are too young to commit to each other, they have their own private ceremony. Peta runs upstairs to get changed while Edward decorates the room with flowers and candles. They didn't tell anyone except after the ceremony because they didn't want anybody stopping them. Edward knows that there will be one person stopping him if he did tell; this person is in the form of Ms Judith Ackroyd (Anna Hruby). Judith is very over protective of Edward and at the moment, she is not ready to have another woman in his life.

Some spoilers...

• Some rumours have occurred as to why Justin Melvey is leaving. It is because the producers feel that the character of Harry is going nowhere. He will leave early 2001.
• Next Thursday (For Australia) is the day that Colleen will burn the diner down. If you don't know what happens, then Colleen burns down the diner but Leah says that she burned it down.
• There is a rumour that Shauna and Harry get back together.
• Well for Ireland people this is news, but for Australia, basically what happened this week on H&A is Brodie's brother JT comes to the Bay (after bashing someone and escaping) and then he bashes Hayley. Luke asks Sally to marry her. She thinks about it but then says yes. Sally's first teaching classes don't go well, with all the students playing pranks on her. Judith is heartbroken when she says that she wants Joel to return to Queensland with Natalie, because she doesn't want to be with someone who is in love with another person. Also, Shauna apologise for the way she's been acting, with Vinnie.
• Now it was rumoured that Kate Ritchie would be leaving the show late 2001, so if she said yes to Luke, could she be having the wedding then returning to the city with Luke to live there forever (and leave the show)
• I don't know how Ailsa dies! But Judy Nunn says you'll be on the tip of your chairs.
• Three more locations are being built: Stewarts' new house, new diner (Alf, Ailsa and Duncan will live on top), and Noah and his brother's house.
• The Surf Club will NOT burn down. They would never do this, because of the camera angles etc.

A war breaks out...between UK and Ireland...

It appears now that there is a serious legal battle exploding between RTE and Channel 5. Basically C5 have blocked cable transmissions of H&A in Northern Ireland (Apparently they show a blank screen with an apology message instead of H&A!) and within days RTE cable transmissions could cease completely, if RTE don't stop showing H&A! If push comes to shove, RTE could be faced with the choice of carrying on showing H&A, and losing the advertising revenue from cable transmissions of RTE1 and Network 2 in Northern Ireland, or pulling H&A from the schedule until 2002! Yes, 2002, which would put RTE a year behind C5, and TWO years behind Australia!!!
C5 may do the decent thing and allow RTE to keep showing H&A, and then could target the Irish Republic like the BBC channels, ITV and C4 have done for years. Currently C5 isn't broadcast south of the border, the only way to receive it here is via satellite or with a TV aerial. The latter is very difficult because C5's transmitter in NI runs on low power.

Hang on a second. RTE is an IRISH channel and has nothing whatsoever to do with Channel 5 which is a television channel in a completely different country. Who the f*** do they think they are to try and force RTE to take H&A off the air?!?!?!? Are they insane or something??? Surely that can't be right? What business is it of there's what programmes a different country's TV channel shows? I can't believe that. They can't interfere with that. So what if 'some' people in UK can see RTE.....Its hardly a majority, is it.
It seems preposterous that suddenly IRELAND is going to be in trouble with their showing of H&A because an English channel can't show it until next year. I fail to see how they can get away with this. Don't RTE have their own contract with Channel 7 to broadcast H&A? Surely once they have that, and since Channel 7 ultimately has the final say so on who shows what (I'd assume), that should be enough to see C5 off.
It all seems rather petty - like "oh, well if WE can't see it til next year, why the hell should you be able to". Except its not Ireland's poxy fault they can't show it, and its nothing whatsoever to do with us.
If I hated ITV for their actions before, this knock on effect just makes me even more furious. What a bunch of assholes. RTE need to stand their ground. Don't take it off. Let Channel 5 block their transmissions (is that even legal?) then take them to court and sue them for loss of revenue.

The near future and next year...

• Justin Melvey WILL be leaving early 2001!!! Not sure how he will leave.
• The bayside diner will burn down. Leah will say it was her that did it, when it was actually Colleen!
• 3 new locations are being built. Stewart new house, Noah’s house and new diner
• Joel WILL leave with Natalie! (Actually the exact date is next Wednesday for all Australian viewers (apart from Tasmania who is behind by about 5 weeks)
• Luke will ask Sally to marry her!!!
• I DO NOT KNOW HOW AILSA WILL DIE, but she will die in the SEASON finale!!!
• Next year it is RUMOURED that Alf will have cancer and will die, with Duncan being left an orphan!
• There may be a new theme tune Next year to H&A!!!
• Colleen will run the new diner
• The current owners of the Caravan park (in real life) don’t want it being used any more for H&A. Will it burn down in the show or something?
• Alf may commit suicide because he can't handle Ailsa's death! Luke delivers some bad news to Sally. Gypsy tells Judith to leave Joel alone and Fisher comes to Vinnie's defence with Gavin's photo
• Brodie's brother JT comes to visit but is a far pleasant reunion

How does Ailsa die?

Well now I'm confused over how Ailsa dies because I got TVweek today and there is an article there about Colleen and Leah burning the deep fryer in the back, which gets really big and they can't contain it. The article goes on to say that when Ailsa finds out about the fire (she's not working at the moment coz of the mudslide) she's not happy about it. So now I'm not sure how Ailsa dies, coz two fires would be a lot, in the space of a few weeks. How Harry leaves I'm not sure, are Gypsy and Harry still together? Coz if they are it's almost as if they haven't spent anytime together after the mudslide Erin Flannery
