Does Hayley have a crush on Mitch?

Ever since they met they had their eye on each other, but are Hayley and Mitch ever going to admit it?

When Mitch and Hayley saw each other for the first time, they had an instant attraction to each other. But at that moment was Hayley going out with Sam, what didn't stop Mitch for trying to win her affections. When Sam found out, he turned green and then he dumped Hayley and accused her of cheating on him.

Mitch had nowhere to live at the time, so Hayley helped him out with food and clothing and kept his secret when he camped out under Irene's house. But after Irene found out, Hayley told her that she and Mitch were just friends (much to Mitch's disappointment!). He thought he might have a chance with Hayley.

So now he found a place to stay permanent, with Alf and Duncan…and Gypsy's got her eye on him! Mitch isn't sure for having a relation with her, but Gypsy's not taking no for an answer. In the meantime, Hayley is trying to dump Sam (who's decided he likes her again!) so she could spent more time with Mitch. But now Mitch doesn't understand the hint. What a mess.

Where just about ready to find out where this all is leading. Because while Ailsa is recovering, Alf has arranged for Mitch to move into…Irene's! That means that Hayley and Mitch going to live under the same roof. Now is Hayley forced to admit to herself, and to everyone else, that she and Mitch are more then just friends… unless something's happened to change both of their feelings!

Adam will do anything to impress Shauna… but is he ready to do all her housework?

When Shauna turned up for her interview to be Summer Bay's first full-time lifesaver, Adam was pretty keen on her straightaway. So when Shauna moved to the Bay to take up the job, Adam took the first opportunity he could to be near her… by tricking her into thinking she could share a house with him and James!

It was all sorted out when James decided he would indeed rent the room out and Shauna decided she could handle Adam well enough to take it; but now that she's living with him, there's no escape! And Adam's interest in her certainly hasn't died down…

In fact, Adam's trying even harder to impress Shauna now, showing her his muscles, propositioning her… and then accusing James of trying to compete with him to win her affections! James says he's not interested, but Shauna may well be interested in James. But Adam's not going to give up that easily!

When Adam won't back off, Shauna tells him where to go and then Adam says she's not interested in him because he's probably too much man for her. Shauna reckons she's more ‘man' than he'll ever be… and challenges him to a surf triathlon to prove it! Adam takes the challenge, and they both decide what the stakes will be: whoever loses has to do the other's cleaning duties for the day.

Of course, we all know that honour is what's really at stake here… so may the best ‘man' win!

A new face in the Bay

Alf decides it's time to hire a full-time lifesaver for the Bay… but he may be in for a surprise!

Alf has a lot on his plate with Ailsa being sick, he's trying to run two businesses and keep an eye on Duncan, all the while desperately worried about his wife. So he decides to give himself a break, and tells Vinnie to hire a full-time lifesaver for the Summer Bay Surf Club, since Vinnie's on the club committee and all.

Vinnie interviews some likely candidates, fit young men who are all keen for the job and look like they could save a whole footy team at once if they need to. Vinnie thinks it'll be a pretty tough choice… until his last candidate shows up, and the choice is suddenly very clear!

Enter Shauna Bradley (new cast member Kylie Watson), a fully qualified lifeguard with three years experience and lots of time spent on the competition circuit. And, oh yeah… she's totally gorgeous! Vinnie puts her through the interview paces and then gets her to show her stuff in the surf – while Vinnie, Adam and Sam all look on her admiringly. There's no doubt she's the man for the job alright! And of course Vinnie's hiring her for all the right reasons…

Which is what the V-man tells Alf when Alf finds out the ‘bloke' he thinks is Summer Bay's new lifesaver is actually a sheila! Because Alf is not at all pleased with the club's new full-time employee, and he's not shy about letting Vinnie know. Could be too late, though, because Vinnie's already told Shauna that she's good for the job! So now it's Alf vs. Shauna… can anyone pick a winner?

James has been living alone since he split with Chloe – but that's about to change in a big way!

James has been living on his own since his marriage with Chloe broke up. He seems to do it OK until the new lifeguard Shauna moves to the Bay, and Adam wants to both move out of Irene's and be closer to Shauna. James finds himself duped into totally new living arrangements!

When Shauna becomes a full-time lifesaver for Summer Bay, she moves into the caravan park until she can find more permanent accommodation. When Adam, who has a crush on her, finds out where she's staying, he decides he has a much better idea. He's still staying with Irene, so he asks her if Shauna can move in, and as you can expect, Irene says no!

So the ever-resourceful Adam comes up with a brilliant plan… He whinges to James about living at Irene's, and James immediately offers him a room in his own house, since he has a couple spare. A couple spare, eh? That'll suit Adam nicely… He runs off to tell Shauna that he's found her a room at James place – without telling James!

So when Shauna shows up to check out her new room, there are red faces all around, when Adam bothered to tell James what he'd done. James is too polite to get really mad at Adam in front of Shauna, but what is he now going to do? He doesn't going to give Adam the perfect opportunity for being close to Shauna, especially in his own house.

But Shauna does need a place to stay… but where?
